The Church of Scotland Guild was founded over 200 years ago to give women a role in the ministry of the church .Today women and men make up the national membership of around 30,000. The aim of the Guild is to nurture and expand the faith of its members through worship, fellowship, prayer and action. This action, as well as supporting local initiatives , takes the form of a long established project scheme, where, in partnership with other agencies, the Guild raises funds and has facilitated support and help for the homeless, those in prison, and those affected by drug abuse and poverty at home and abroad. In recent years the Guild has raised over £2 million for 24 different areas of mission.
The North Church has a lively group, meeting to listen to speakers, to participate in practical activities, to organise fund raising events and to enjoy fellowship. New members will be warmly welcomed.
